Your new company

This is a globally recognised financial institution with a strong presence across the EMEA region, with over 450 branches in 19 cities. They offer a wide range of financial services, including corporate banking, investment banking and asset management, ranked amongst the largest 25 banks globally by assets under management. The procurement function is undergoing a strategic transformation, moving towards a centralised operating model aimed at reducing risk, controlling costs, and increasing efficiency. Therefore, a strong desire to promote procurement internally is needed for this role.

Your new role

You will be supporting the HR & Prof Category Manager (VP) in establishing the value of procurement, acting as a procurement business partner, with a direct focus on the HR and Travel categories. You will be conducting commercial and contractual negotiations with vendors, managing spend analysis and cost allocations and presenting your findings to senior management. You will look to manage the current travel programme, managing contracts and supporting the strategy.

What you'll need to succeed

You must have an innovative mindset in order to support the development of the entire procurement function. There is a huge emphasis on having great interpersonal and communication skills when engaging stakeholders, suppliers and the rest of the business.

What you'll get in return

On offer is a competitive salary of up to £70,000 p/a. 25 days annual leave, discretionary bonus, great pension contributions and private medical & dental cover. As the company is very people-focussed, you will benefit from a great work-life balance - 3 days in the office.
