A leading Top 10 accountancy and business advisory firm is looking to strengthen its team with the appointment of an Accounts Senior in their Lancaster office. This firm works with a wide-ranging portfolio of clients, from owner-managed businesses to larger corporate entities, offering a collaborative environment and clear progression opportunities.

Your new role
As an Accounts Senior, you will play a key role in managing a varied client portfolio and supporting the delivery of high-quality accounting and advisory services. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Preparation of statutory accounts for a range of clients including SMEs and limited companies
  • Reviewing work completed by junior team members and providing guidance and support
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
  • Assisting with management accounts, VAT returns and corporation tax computations
  • Supporting managers and partners with ad hoc project work
  • Coaching and mentoring junior staff to support their professional development
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will:
  • Be ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified (QBE candidates will also be considered)
  • Have experience working within an accountancy practice environment
  • Possess strong technical knowledge across accounts preparation
  • Be confident in managing client relationships and delivering excellent service
  • Have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Experience with cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks) would be advantageous
