Job Title: Audit Senior
Your new firm
A leading independent accountancy and advisory firm is seeking an Audit Senior to join its growing audit team. With a strong reputation across Scotland and a diverse client base spanning owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurial ventures and established corporate organisations, the firm has experienced sustained growth while maintaining a people-focused culture.
The business is committed to investing in its employees, offering a supportive and collaborative environment where professional development is genuinely encouraged. You'll join a high-performing team that values quality, integrity and long-term client relationships, giving you the opportunity to develop your technical expertise while progressing your career within a respected and forward-thinking firm.
Your new role
As an Audit Senior, you will take responsibility for managing audit assignments from planning through to completion, working with a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality audit engagements, ensuring work is completed efficiently, accurately and in line with regulatory requirements.
The role will also involve supporting and mentoring junior members of the team, reviewing work where appropriate and assisting with the successful delivery of assignments to agreed deadlines. This position offers excellent exposure to a broad range of businesses and provides a strong platform for further progression within a successful and expanding practice.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified, or approaching qualification, with previous external audit experience gained within a professional practice environment.
The successful candidate will possess strong technical audit knowledge, excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously. You will be comfortable building relationships with clients and colleagues alike, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.
A proactive and solutions-focused approach is essential, alongside the ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities and consistently deliver work to a high standard. Experience supervising or supporting junior team members would also be advantageous.
What you'll get in return
In return, you'll join a highly regarded firm that offers a supportive and flexible working environment alongside clear opportunities for career progression and personal development.
You'll receive a competitive salary and benefits package, including generous annual leave, enhanced family-friendly policies, private healthcare, pension contributions, life assurance and access to a range of wellbeing initiatives. The firm also promotes flexible and hybrid working, helping employees maintain a healthy work-life balance while continuing to develop their careers.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious audit professional looking to take the next step within a successful and growing firm that values its people and rewards performance.
