A well‑established and growing independent accountancy practice with offices across the North West is seeking an experienced Audit Responsible Individual (RI) to join their expanding audit leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the audit function within a progressive, people‑focused firm.
Your new role
We are looking for a technically strong and commercially aware Audit RI who can lead a varied portfolio of clients across the region. You will work closely with partners and senior leadership to drive audit quality, support team development, and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as RI on a diverse portfolio of audit engagements
- Lead, review, and sign off statutory audits across multiple sectors
- Maintain and enhance audit quality, methodology, and compliance
- Mentor and develop audit teams across several office locations
- Build strong client relationships and provide high‑level technical support
- Contribute to strategic planning and practice development initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
- ACA/ACCA qualified with RI status (or ready to obtain it)
- Strong technical knowledge and up‑to‑date understanding of auditing standards
- Confident managing complex audits and leading multi‑office teams
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach
- Ambitious and keen to contribute to a growing regional firm
