The Opportunity
We’re seeking a highly experienced Audit Manager to join the Southampton office. This is a pivotal role within a dynamic and growing audit team, offering the chance to lead client engagements, manage a diverse portfolio, and contribute to strategic initiatives across the department. This position is ideal for a senior audit professional who thrives on delivering high-quality service, mentoring teams, and building lasting client relationships. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage audit engagements across a varied client portfolio
  • Ensure high-quality delivery and effective risk management at engagement level
  • Build strong client relationships, connecting the right team members to key stakeholders
  • Oversee resource planning and team workload, ensuring optimal performance
  • Communicate audit findings and progress to clients and Partners proactively
  • Manage billing and forecasting, negotiating overruns where necessary
  • Support team development through coaching, appraisals, and leadership
About You
  • ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualified, with substantial external audit experience
  • Proven track record in managing audit engagements within a professional services environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead
  • Experience in business development, including proposals and networking
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams to deliver exceptional results
