Your new role

Your contribution will be instrumental in driving standards, strengthening client relationships and supporting the ongoing development of the wider audit function.

What you’ll be responsible for
Client Delivery & Relationship Management
  • Manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring work is delivered on time and to the highest standard.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships by understanding clients’ needs, challenges and risks.
  • Identify scope changes early and support fee discussions with senior leadership.
  • Provide clear updates and hold clients accountable for agreed deliverables.

Technical & Quality Excellence
  • Apply strong knowledge of professional audit standards, providing support and insight to colleagues.
  • Review key areas of audit files, ensuring work is accurate, well presented and justified.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and participate in internal and external quality reviews.

Leadership & People Development
  • Manage junior team members, including performance reviews and development planning.
  • Set clear expectations, provide constructive feedback and help shape objectives for audit teams.
  • Participate in the recruitment of new junior talent and act as a positive role model.

Operational & Commercial Performance
  • Monitor WIP, support draft fee preparation and ensure work is delivered efficiently.
  • Communicate confidently when timelines or scope need to change.
  • Begin working directly with partners on designated jobs and supporting the development of fee proposals.

What you’ll need to succeed
  • ACA/ACCA/CA qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
  • Strong audit experience within practice, ideally as an experienced senior ready for the next step.
  • A commitment to producing high‑quality work with excellent attention to detail.
  • Positive leadership qualities, strong communication skills and the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Commercial awareness, a proactive mindset and the confidence to solve problems independently.
