Your new company

A busy and welcoming secondary school is seeking a temporary Attendance Administrator to join their team this September. You'll play a vital role in supporting student success by helping to ensure attendance records are accurate, up to date, and effectively managed within a supportive school environment.

Your new role

Your responsibilities will include:
✅ Monitoring and recording daily student attendance
✅ Investigating and following up on unexplained absences
✅ Communicating with parents and carers regarding attendance concerns
✅ Maintaining accurate attendance records using school systems
✅ Producing attendance reports and data for school leaders
✅ Supporting the pastoral and safeguarding teams
✅ Responding to attendance-related queries from staff, students and parents
✅ Helping to promote a culture where every school day counts

What you'll need to succeed

We're looking for someone who can bring energy, organisation, and a positive can-do attitude to the role.
You'll ideally have:
Previous administration experience (school experience is desirable but not essential)
Strong IT skills and confidence using databases and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Exceptional attention to detail
The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
A proactive approach with the confidence to use your own initiative
A commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality, and professionalism
The ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
We will need to be able to obtain references to cover the last 2 years as a minimum, and you will need to be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check if you don't already have a DBS on the update service
