Your new role
As Associate Procurement Director, you lead the strategy and frameworks that maximise commercial impact. You design benefit tracking models, guide senior stakeholders and make sure every procurement, resourcing and project activity delivers tangible outcomes.
Your remit covers:
- Leading benefits realisation strategy aligned with corporate priorities and government commercial policy.
- Embedding data‑driven benefit planning into procurement, resourcing and project lifecycles.
- Creating and overseeing frameworks for benefit planning, tracking and reporting.
- Monitoring supplier delivery to inform sourcing strategies and improve long‑term value.
- Identifying efficiency opportunities across sourcing, resourcing and project activity.
- Strengthening supplier performance management and intervening when risks threaten value delivery.
- Providing governance and assurance to senior leaders and government stakeholders.
- Owning business case templates, performance tracking and capability development.
What you'll need to succeed
- Senior‑level experience across procurement, commercial, sourcing or project environments, ideally in the public or regulated sectors.
- Strong track record in benefits realisation, commercial impact tracking and value‑based decision making.
- Deep knowledge of public procurement frameworks, sourcing policy, project methodologies and contract management best practice.
- Confident stakeholder leadership, with the ability to challenge, influence and hold teams to account.
- Strong analytical capability, communication skills and the ability to provide meaningful assurance.
- Experience working with or alongside arm’s‑length bodies, central government or major delivery programmes.
- A continuous improvement mindset, a collaborative approach and the ability to work autonomously.
- MCIPS is desirable.
