Your new company

A highly regarded Sydney‑based construction and disputes law firm is seeking to recruit an Associate‑level lawyer to join its growing and successful construction practice. The firm has entered an exciting growth phase led by highly respected senior practitioners who are consistently recognised in leading legal directories.

The firm is known for delivering top‑tier quality construction work and regularly acts opposite leading firms on major matters. Approximately 80% of the work is back‑end focused, with a strong pipeline of high‑value disputes and arbitrations, alongside front‑end advisory work. The client base is primarily made up of Tier 2 and Tier 3 builders, with exposure to high‑profile, high‑value projects. There is minimal subcontractor work, allowing lawyers to focus on complex and commercially sophisticated matters.

Your new role
This role offers broad exposure across front‑end and back‑end construction matters, including:

  • Construction disputes and litigation
  • Security of payment claims
  • Contract administration and risk advice
  • Project-related advisory and dispute strategy.

You will work closely with senior practitioners who are hands‑on, commercially focused and deeply invested in training and development.

What you'll need to succeed ;
  • Experience of construction law preferable.
  • Strong litigators with an interest in moving into construction will also be considered.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑performing environment.
  • Strong drafting, communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Team‑oriented and adaptable to evolving legal and commercial issues

What you'll get in return
  • Australian Employer work visa for 2–4 Years
  • High‑quality construction work comparable to top‑tier firms
  • A strong pipeline of matters — billable targets are very achievable
  • Top‑market salary with bonuses paid consistently once targets are met
  • Hands‑on training and clear development pathways
  • Supportive structure with strong administrative and technology (AI) support
  • Collaborative, professional and high‑performing culture
  • Flexible work‑from‑home arrangements available
  • Quarterly social events and an annual firm trip
