The role of Assistant Support Worker is an inspirational one and key to achieving successful outcomes for clients. As a motivated and dynamic Assistant Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting with delivering a high-quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for two departments within the Life House. Working within the Life College the role will play an integral part in engaging residents through activities and projects within the centre as well as sourcing external opportunities in the wider community. The role will look to build the confidence and self-esteem of our residents from the point of entry into the Life House right through to move on into the local community.
You will undertake a wide range of engagement sessions already embedded within the Life House but also those that you have highlighted and consulted on. Sessions can be done on a 1-2-1 basis or in a group setting; you will also have the scope to design activities that have accreditation attached to them. You will carry a small case load within the Life College and will also have responsibilities of responsibilities within the main centre’s resettlement team.

Your new role
Provide various services for homeless people, including accommodation, assessment and support.

Working Hours:
40 hours per week on a rolling 3-week rota, duty worker shifts, occasional evenings, weekends,

Salary: £25,542.20 per annum

What you'll need to succeed
You will need at least 6 months experience in a social care role within the last 2 years, desirable experience in the mental health field, dealing with drug and alcohol abuse, helping people with housing and their benefits.

Driving is essential for this role.
