Your new role
As an Assistant Quality Assurance Manager, you will support the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving quality management systems and overall contract performance. This is a varied role where you will play a key part in quality assurance, audit coordination, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the contract.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the implementation, monitoring, and review of the Quality Plan
- Coordinating internal and external audit activities, including planning, evidence gathering, and tracking close-out actions
- Monitoring quality performance and producing regular reports, dashboards, and insights
- Maintaining quality documentation, trackers, and action logs (including NCRs and improvement actions)
- Supporting investigations into quality issues, identifying root causes and corrective actions
- Working closely with operational teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Assisting with inspections, assurance checks, and audit programmes
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and engagement across the contract
- Deputising for the Quality Manager where required
This role will suit someone who enjoys working in a structured yet fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing multiple priorities.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of quality assurance processes and experience supporting audits or compliance activities. You will also be confident working with stakeholders across operational teams.
You will ideally have:
- A qualification in quality, engineering, business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in quality assurance, compliance, audit coordination, or continuous improvement
- A good understanding of quality management systems and audit processes
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret performance data
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive approach to identifying issues and driving improvements
- A full UK driving licence
