Your new role

• Purchasing goods and services in accordance with company procedures to achieve value for money
• Liaising with and providing assistance to customers on procurement matters
• Operating a PC and computer systems to facilitate the delivery of a procurement service
• Resolving invoice queries in conjunction with company shared services to ensure prompt payment of suppliers.
• Responding to queries from suppliers
• Liaising with PaLS colleagues in all PaLS sites on procurement related matters, including the participation in groups (if required)
• Any other duties as required within the Band of the post.

What you'll need to succeed

• Essential Criteria Five GCSE’s, including GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths (Grades A* - C) OR equivalent qualifications to demonstrate literacy and numeracy OR Higher Qualification
• Experience in the use of Windows-based software, ie Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to meet high standards of quality and professionalism.
• Ability to maintain and continuously improve customer service.
• Ability to communicate effectively to meet the needs of the post in full.
• Ability to use own initiative and work independently or as part of a team.
• Awareness of public procurement legislation
