Assistant Operations Manager required to support the delivery of waste services

Your new company

Our client is looking for an Assistant Operations Manager to join the team to support the delivery of waste services.

Your new role

  • Support daily waste operations and service delivery
  • Monitor performance and suggest improvements
  • Deputise for the Team Leader when required
  • Help manage budgets, resources, and procurement
  • Ensure health & safety procedures are followed
  • Lead team briefings and maintain good communication
  • Support staff management, including training and attendance
  • Assist with fleet and transport compliance
  • Investigate incidents, damage, and insurance claims
  • Provide operational support when needed, including frontline supervision

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in waste management or a similar operational role
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Good understanding of health & safety and relevant legislation
  • Ability to manage teams and improve performance
  • Organised, proactive, and able to work under pressure
