A leading UK accountancy and advisory firm with a strong national presence is seeking an Accounts Assistant Manager to join its growing Central London office. The firm works with a broad range of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, and mid-sized corporates across multiple sectors, and is recognised for its supportive culture, technical expertise, and clear progression opportunities.


Your new role


As an Accounts Assistant Manager, you will manage a varied client portfolio, taking responsibility for the preparation and review of statutory accounts while supporting Managers and Partners on more complex assignments. You will act as a key point of contact for clients, providing high-quality advice and maintaining strong working relationships.


In addition, you will play an important role in supervising and developing junior team members, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard and within deadlines. This role offers a clear pathway to Manager and the opportunity to broaden your exposure across advisory work.


What you'll need to succeed


  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in accounts preparation within practice
  • Experience reviewing work and supervising junior staff
  • Good working knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102
  • Exposure to a varied client portfolio (OMBs/SMEs)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and client-facing ability
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and commercially aware mindset
