We are working with a high‑growth, fast‑moving organisation seeking a capable and motivated Assistant Management Accountant to support the production of accurate, insightful financial reporting. This role offers strong exposure across weekly and monthly reporting, close collaboration with commercial teams, and the opportunity to develop within a high‑performing finance function.
The successful candidate will be confident working to tight deadlines, comfortable taking ownership, and keen to progress in a dynamic, evolving business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver a weekly trading report for senior stakeholders, ensuring accuracy of financial data and supporting commentary
  • Liaise with commercial teams to ensure data completeness and integrity ahead of reporting deadlines
  • Support the production of monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
  • Produce variance analysis with clear written commentary, investigating and explaining movements against budget and forecast
  • Complete and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, proactively identifying and resolving issues
  • Support improvements in cost control and reporting for budget holders
  • Build strong cross‑functional relationships, acting as a trusted finance contact
  • Remain hands‑on and flexible, supporting ad‑hoc work, particularly during periods of growth or integration
  • Contribute to the annual audit process, preparing information and responding to audit queries

What you'll need to succeed

  • Studying, or keen to study, a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Experience in a fast‑paced finance team, either in a similar role or with a strong AP/AR background
  • Proactive, organised, and eager to develop within a growing business
  • Strong Excel skills essential
  • Experience with finance systems such as Sage Intacct or Microsoft Dynamics desirable.
  • Exposure to Power Query or Power BI, or willingness to learn, is advantageous.
