A logistics company with a strong presence across the UK, are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their team on a temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-paced and commercially focused environment.

Your new role

You will play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager with management accounts. Your responsibilities will include:

• Completion of weekly and month-end management accounts

• Reconciliation of accounts to Oracle monthly, including accruals, prepayments, and invoicing requests

• Maintenance and reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts

• Posting monthly charges to the P&L account

• Creation and upkeep of management reporting spreadsheets

• Handling AP/AR queries and resolving parked/blocked invoices

• Providing ad hoc analysis to support financial decision-making

What you’ll need to succeed

You will have:

• Proven experience in a similar management accounting role

• CIMA / ACCA studier or AAT qualified or equivalent

• Strong Excel skills and experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A proactive approach to problem-solving
