As an Assistant Management Accountant, you’ll be a key part of the finance team, supporting the delivery of accurate and timely financial information to aid decision-making across the organisation.
This role is a fixed-term contact from 9–12 months with a high probability of going permanent after the contract if you show the right attitudes and behaviours.
Your new role
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Supporting budget holders with financial reporting and analysis
- Preparing accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
- Monitoring expenditure against budgets and investigating variances
- Assisting with forecasting and budget-setting processes
- Supporting year-end processes and audit preparation
- Contributing to financial improvement initiatives and systems development
- Support month/ year-end
- Assisting with transactional duties
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Part-qualified or fully qualified AAT, or studying towards ACCA/CIMA
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders
- A proactive and collaborative approach to work
