Your new role

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you’ll be a key part of the finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. You’ll take ownership of the monthly management accounts, treasury management, and financial reporting across the business. This is a hands-on role with broad exposure, offering the chance to work closely with commercial, IT, and operational teams to drive financial insight and support strategic decision-making.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Month-end close and preparation of management accounts
  • Analytical review and validation of financial results
  • Maintaining the nominal ledger, cash book, and fixed asset register
  • Stock reconciliations and control of accruals/prepayments
  • Control account reconciliations, including intercompany and suspense
  • VAT returns (UK and Ireland), ONS reporting, and support with statutory accounts
  • Treasury duties including BACS/SEPA approvals and currency monitoring
  • Reviewing employee expenses and credit card transactions
  • Supporting purchasing and landed cost analysis
  • Liaising with commercial teams on costing and stock anomalies
  • Assisting AP/AR teams and contributing to weekly/monthly reporting to the Group

What you'll need to succeed

You’ll be a qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with strong experience in management accounting and treasury. You’ll have excellent analytical skills, strong Excel capability, and the ability to work across departments to deliver accurate and timely financial information. Experience in a manufacturing or product-based environment would be an advantage.
