A well‑established and growing distributor within the food and FMCG sector is seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team. The organisation supplies an expanding portfolio of premium branded products to both retail and foodservice customers across the island of Ireland. Your New Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information to senior management. This is a varied position encompassing both operational and management accounting responsibilities.
Your duties will include:

Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting financial schedules
Posting journals and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
Producing weekly, monthly and quarterly sales reporting and performance scorecards
Managing stock control processes and highlighting stock‑related issues
Overseeing payroll, VAT submissions, credit control and bank administration
Supporting cash‑flow forecasting and annual budgeting
Providing commercial insight to assist with product pricing
Completing weekly cost analysis, including wages and fuel
Managing payroll and maintaining accounting records for a small retail division

What You’ll Need to Succeed

At least 12 months’ experience in an office‑based finance or administration role, ideally within a distribution or FMCG environment
Newly qualified AAT, CIMA/CGMA, or equivalent experience
Strong numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail
Confident communicator with strong literacy and IT capabilities
A proactive team player who enjoys contributing to business improvement and growth

What You’ll Get in Return

Salary circa £35,000 – £40,000, depending on experience
Monday–Friday hours, 8am–4pm, with occasional overtime
28 days annual leave

On‑site role based in modern premises in the Boucher Road area of Belfast
