Assistant Management Accountant – £30,000 to £35,000 p.a.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a prestigious hospitality group that manages a portfolio of high-end restaurants across London. Known for its exceptional service, the business is expanding and looking for a driven Assistant Management Accountant to support its finance function. Based in stylish offices in Soho, you’ll be part of a passionate team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager and wider finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and smooth day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable:
  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments
  • Manage customer invoicing and credit control
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Bank Reconciliations:
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Monitor cash flow and support banking queries
  • VAT Returns:
  • Assist in preparing and submitting VAT returns
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations
  • Management Accounts:
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Assist with accruals, prepayments, and journal entries
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or multi-site business preferred
  • Experience in an Accounts Assistant role and have supported with month-end close
  • Started studying or are part-qualified AAT / ACCA / CIMA
  • Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar)
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
  • Confident communicator with a proactive attitude
