The council is currently recruiting for a Housing Solutions & Support Case Worker to join its dedicated team tackling homelessness across the city. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful change and support some of the most vulnerable individuals in society.

Your new role

As a Housing Solutions & Support Case Worker, you will be part of a team managing homelessness applications from single individuals. The team receives around 350 approaches per week, distributed amongst multiple team members.
Your responsibilities will include managing a caseload of homelessness applications. Contacting clients to assess their housing situation and determine priority need. Identifying suitable housing options and referring clients to relevant support services (e.g., substance misuse, mental health) to prevent tenancy breakdowns, also providing support in cases of tenancy breakdown and helping clients secure alternative accommodation and building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords and external support services.

    – understanding the complex needs of vulnerable individuals and working to break the cycle of homelessness.
  • Experienced in housing or support services.
