Your new role
You will be the assistant health and safety advisor, supporting the health and safety manager to ensure a safe and compliant environment across all operations. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone that is looking to kick-start and develop their career in health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments
- Support the Health and Safety Manager in conducting site inspections, audits, and investigations
- Help maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and safety-related documentation
- Coordinate and deliver basic health and safety inductions and toolbox talks
- Assist in ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation and best practices
- Contribute to the development of safety awareness campaigns and training materials
- Liaise with internal departments and external contractors to promote a culture of safety
- Provide administrative support including report writing, data entry, and document control
What you'll need to succeed
- NEBOSH general or wanting to work towards NEBOSH general.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
