Assistant Finance Business Partner - Belfast City Centre - Hybrid working with flexibility - Charity Sector

Your new role

As Assistant Finance Business Partner, you will support the Finance Business Partner in delivering a high-quality finance service across key operational areas. This will include assisting with monthly management accounts, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and providing insightful financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
You will play a key role in analysing financial and operational data, identifying trends and risks, and contributing to effective decision-making. You will also support financial planning processes, contribute to improving systems and reporting, and assist with audit, compliance, and funding-related financial activities. Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders will be central to your success in this role.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered, you will ideally be studying towards a professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA, or AAT) or have at least two years’ experience in a finance or analytical role.
You will demonstrate:
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, or reporting processes
  • The ability to interpret and communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • A proactive, analytical mindset with a willingness to learn
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
