Your new role
As an Assistant Engineer in the Water Infrastructure team, you will support the delivery of a wide range of water-related projects based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in the design and development of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Supporting senior engineers in preparing technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Conducting site visits and surveys to gather data and monitor project progress.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Using engineering software to perform calculations and modelling.
  • Contributing to sustainable design practices and innovation in water engineering.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this Assistant Engineering role, you should have:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Some experience or academic exposure to water infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ICM, Infowork, etc)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
