About the Consultancy
One of the UK’s oldest and most respected MEP consultancies is seeking an Assistant Electrical Engineer to join its growing South Manchester office. With over 80 years of industry experience, the consultancy has built a reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a wide range of sectors.
The Manchester office has seen over 30% growth in recent years, driven by repeat business and increased project demand. The team is well-balanced (50% Mechanical / 50% Electrical), collaborative, and known for its low staff turnover and supportive culture.

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Electrical Engineer with at least 3 years of UK-based Building Services experience. You will contribute to a variety of high-profile and secure projects, including:
  • Blue Light Services
  • MoD Training Facilities
  • Anti-Terror Infrastructure
  • Healthcare and Life Sciences
You’ll be working alongside experienced engineers in a dynamic environment where everyone gets involved and contributes to project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and specification of electrical building services systems.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, BIM technicians, and project managers.
  • Produce detailed designs and calculations using industry-standard software.
  • Attend site visits and client meetings, supporting project coordination.
  • Support senior engineers in delivering high-quality solutions.

  • Revit (used by all engineers)
  • MagiCAD

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in UK Building Services.
  • Full UK working rights (due to Security Clearance requirements).
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Healthcare project experience is advantageous but not essential.
