School Assistant Caretaker | £23,000-£24,000 per annum | Bexhill-On-Sea | Full-Time
About the role:
This school is looking for a reliable and proactive Assistant Caretaker to support the day-to-day maintenance and security of the school premises. Working closely with the Site Manager, you’ll help to ensure the school remains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with general maintenance and minor repairs.
- Supporting cleaning duties and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Helping to open and close the school site.
- Monitoring site security and reporting concerns.
- Setting up rooms for school events and activities.
- Supporting health and safety checks and record-keeping.
What we’re looking for:
- A practical, hands-on approach with basic DIY skills.
- Good awareness of health and safety procedures.
- A team player with a flexible and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Previous experience in a similar role within an educational environment.
