As part of our continued growth, we’re looking for an organised and driven Assistant Accountant (Finance Officer) to join our dynamic Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a mission-led organisation that truly makes a difference.

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the production of monthly management accounts. You’ll be responsible for:
• Managing ledgers and accounting records using Sage 50
• Preparing schedules for fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and deferred income
• Performing bank and supplier reconciliations
• Setting up online payment runs and maintaining the system
• Assisting with salary data collation and year-end processes
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and data protection standards
• You’ll also build strong working relationships across the organisation and liaise with suppliers and customers when needed.

What you’ll need to succeed
We’re looking for someone who is:
• Part-qualified or qualified with a recognised accountancy body (AAT, CIMA, ACCA) or qualified by experience
• Experienced in maintaining accounting records within a finance department
• Proficient in Sage 50 and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills
• Analytical, methodical, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• A great communicator who thrives in a collaborative team environment
