Assistant Accountant Belfast £32,000 – £36,000

Your new company

You will be joining a well‑established specialist healthcare organisation that provides a range of high‑quality clinical services to patients across Northern Ireland. Known for its modern facilities and strong reputation for patient care, the business is experiencing continued growth and is now seeking an Assistant Accountant to support its expanding finance function.

Your new role

Reporting directly to the Company Accountant, you will support the day‑to‑day finance operations while gaining exposure to broader accounting responsibilities. This is a varied role suited to someone who wants to develop their technical skills and contribute to a busy, fast‑paced environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing daily transactional finance processes
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts preparation.
  • Supporting the development of financial forecasts and annual budgets
  • Providing payroll support
  • Assisting with VAT returns, cashflow management, and financial reporting


What you'll need to succeed

  • Part‑qualified CIMA/ACCA or Accounting Technician qualification
  • Experience using Sage or Xero
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes
  • Confident with data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn
