My client is a small international bank, based in the heart of London, with branches around the world. The firm focusses on providing corporate, commercial, and retail banking services to a diverse client base. Your new role

The client is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join them for 6 months (with the possibility to extend). Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing & submitting daily, weekly and monthly Head Office reports.
• Reporting on the daily LCR report
• Performing daily reconciliations
• Preparing invoice entries and entering supplier payments through the Faster payment system
• Preparing Quarterly VAT Returns for all branches and subsidiaries
• Monthly and Quarterly BoE Reporting
• Assisting with other reports when needed
• Providing support to staff regarding daily operational work
• Replying to ad hoc queries received from other departments
• Assisting with invoices scanning

What you'll need to succeed

• Part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) and a strong academic track record

• Experience in banking

• Personable, with strong communication skills for liaising with other departments

• Attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure

• Adaptability to assist all areas of the finance team
