Assets Officer required by a large Housing Association on a temporary contract basis

Your new company

The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large Housing Association, to recruit an Assets Officer on a temporary contract basis for a period of 3 months with the possibility of further extension.


Your new role

You will manage response repairs to a patch of housing stock. This will include:

Completing pre, post and void property inspections, issuing required works orders.
Checking and authorising invoices for work undertaken, controlling and managing costs.
Monitoring and reporting on expenditure against budgeted amounts.
Supervising works on site, authorising and accepting completed works.
Responding to repair complaints or requests, including follow-up actions to resolve issues.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you must possess:

A level five qualification (e.g. HND) or above in a related discipline such as, Estate Management, Building Surveying, Construction, Engineering with 18 months’ relevant experience within a construction or maintenance environment, or;
Three years’ relevant experience within a construction or maintenance environment.
