Asset Information Analyst for a London-based Council!

Central Asset Information Analyst – London Borough Council
Hays is happy to announce we are partnering with a forward-thinking London council to recruit a Central Asset Information Analyst to join their Asset Management Team. This is a permanent role, with a hybrid working structure.

Your Role at a Glance
As an Asset Information Analyst, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the council’s asset data systems, ensuring the integrity and accessibility of information that supports the management of social housing stock. Your work will directly influence strategic planning, compliance, and investment decisions.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Developing and maintaining robust data systems and business processes to support asset management.
  • Designing and generating reports using tools such as Power Query (Power BI/Excel), SQL, SSRS, and VBA.
  • Supporting data modelling, automation, and reporting to inform strategic asset decisions.
  • Ensuring data accuracy for statutory returns, stock condition surveys, and compliance monitoring.
  • Analysing data to support planned maintenance programmes, including repair history and survey insights.
  • Managing compliance data across key areas such as gas safety, electrical testing, fire safety, lifts, and water hygiene.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for asset information systems, offering user support, training, and troubleshooting.
What We’re Looking For
  • Advanced technical skills in SQL, Power Query, Excel, VBA, and Microsoft Access.
  • A strong background in data analysis, reporting, and quality assurance.
  • The ability to interpret complex technical documentation and follow detailed instructions.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a flexible, adaptable approach to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently while handling sensitive data with discretion.
