Part-Time Teacher of Art Job | Permanent Role | Secondary School
Hays Education is proud to be working in partnership with a successful and welcoming secondary school in the Mid Devon area that is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Art to join its creative arts department from September 2026. This is a permanent, 0.6 FTE position, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or ECT looking for a flexible teaching role.

The Role
As a Teacher of Art, you will:
- Deliver engaging and creative Art and Design lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Inspire students to develop their artistic skills, creativity and confidence.
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Monitor and support student progress to achieve positive outcomes.
- Contribute to a vibrant and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote excellence in teaching and learning.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Art and Design within a secondary school setting.
- A passion for creative education and student achievement.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to motivate and inspire young people.
