A London Council's in-house design services team. Architectural project coordination and management. Long term

An Architecture Project Coordinator, required for the in-house design services team of an inner-London local authority. Long term agency role. Day rate, and one day per week in-office.

The role is to support the wider multidisciplinary team supporting capital projects across housing, educational, cultural and leisure schemes.

The role of Project Coordinator provides a vital project management role. You will work with a combination of internal and external consultants and contractors to understand briefs, develop projects and manage to a suitable conclusion. You should have a technical design background and knowledge of contract administration, which will be critical in complying with legal agreements, whilst complying with relevant regulations and industry standards. Focusing on oversight of a project from initial survey, working through recommendations, and handover to relevant parties both internal and external, working collaboratively with services, partners and stakeholders alongside preparing and monitoring project documentation. All projects are to be delivered in accordance with the RIBA Plan of Work.

The role is very varied, fast-paced and would appeal to candidates who enjoy multiple simultaneous projects of varying scale and typology.

We are encouraging applications from architects, architectural technicians, job-runners, or project surveying backgrounds.

The team work on a hybrid basis with staff expected to attend the office 1 day per week.

Employment will be on an agency-based timesheet arrangement, paying an hourly rate, with an ongoing long-term duration.
