Your new company
Are you a talented Architectural Technologist with a passion for Residential design? HAYS Architecture & Design NI are working in collaboration with a leading creative studio, with a reputation for creativity, precision and continual excellence, in their search for a new team member. Having garnered their stellar reputation over their 10+ years in operation, the practice consists of a close-knit team of Architects & Architectural Technologists, working as a collective on cutting-edge one-off dwellings and larger developments across Northern & Southern Ireland, and wider United Kingdom. They're looking for like-minded designers to help them tackle rising workload, and have an attractive office space, compelling projects and continued professional development on offer for the right person.
Your new role
As an Architectural Technologist within this vibrant practice, you will play a key role in developing detailed technical drawings, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and ensuring compliance with building regulations. You’ll support the design team through all project stages—from concept to completion—translating creative visions into buildable solutions. Responsibilities include preparing planning and construction documentation, conducting site visits, and contributing to project management and client liaison. Working within a collaborative studio environment, you’ll help deliver high-quality, innovative architectural outcomes across the residential sector across NI, RoI & UK. It's important that you are comfortable in working independently at times, as due to the high levels of workload - the team need self-starters and project runners, which offers the opportunity to put your own stamp on amazing works.
What you'll need to succeed
To not only gain this position, but thrive once in the seat, candidates should hold a degree in Architectural Technology or a related discipline, with proven experience in producing detailed technical drawings and managing construction documentation. Proficiency in CAD software and knowledge of UK building regulations are essential. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and confident in liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors. A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects are key traits. Experience in residential and commercial sectors within Northern Ireland is advantageous, along with a genuine passion for thoughtful, high-quality design.
What you'll get in return
A full time position with a well-established & renowned Architectural Studio local to you. Along with competitive remuneration, which is dependant on experience / level, you'll enjoy a vibrant working environment in a stunning part of Northern Ireland, experienced colleagues and the opportunity to broaden your skills and experience on some quality projects. This is a sincere opportunity for someone seeking to make a move into the residential sector, where the intrigue should be in seeing projects from concept to completion, and working along with customers to deliver their forever homes.
