*** Architectural Technologist - Commercial Property Developer's In-house Team - Derry or Belfast Office ***

Your new company

Hays Architecture & Design NI are currently looking for an Architectural Technologist, on behalf of a leading property investment and development company with a growing footprint across the UK and Ireland. With a diverse portfolio spanning residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, and industrial sectors, the Group is known for delivering high-quality, sustainable developments. This is an exciting opportunity to join their in-house design team, contributing to a wide range of impactful projects.

Your new role

As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in the technical delivery of projects from concept through to completion. Based in either the Derry / Londonderry or Belfast office, you’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external consultants to produce detailed design information and ensure compliance with building regulations and planning requirements.

Typical responsibilities will include preparing and developing technical drawings and specifications using AutoCAD or Revit, supporting planning applications and building control submissions. You'll liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers throughout the design and construction process, across all RIBA stages. Assisting with the coordination and delivery of projects across multiple sectors, you'll form an integral part of their expert service.

What you'll need to succeed

With an Architectural Technology & Management (or similar) degree background, you'll have proven experience working as a Technologist within Practice, or indeed a contractor's design team. Proficiency in either AutoCAD or Revit is essential, ideally familiarity with both. You'll have a strong understanding and grasp of current UK & NI Building Regulations and planning processes, and wider construction methodologies and modern methods. With excellent communication and organisational skills, you'll have the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

What you'll get in return

As well as joining an esteemed name within Property Development not only in Northern Ireland, but across the United Kingdom, you'll gain a full-time position as an Architectural Technologist, with access to landmark projects and a well-structured career ladder on which to progress. It's an exciting time to join this organisation, with sustained, organic growth very much part of their fabric over the past number of years. You'll avail of a competitive salary and remuneration package, and post probation you will avail of their flexible working patterns. This should appeal to Architectural Technologists in either Belfast or Derry / Londonderry, looking for an opportunity to scale up their project involvement with a reputable, well-established organisation, who offer something a little bit different to regular practice positions.
