*** Experienced Architect - Long-established Multidisciplinary Practice - Belfast Centre - £Competitive ***
Your new company
HAYS Architecture & Design NI are proud to be working on behalf of one of Northern Ireland's most established Architecture & Engineering consultancies, in their search for an experienced Architect to become a pivotal part of their Belfast team. With over 100 years' experience in delivering innovative, sustainable design solutions across a wide range of sectors, their multi-disciplinary genetics bring together Architects, Engineers, Planners and Project managers under one roof - offering a truly integrated approach to design and construction consultancy. This collaborative environment means that you will work alongside experts from multiple disciplines, gaining exposure to diverse perspectives and cutting-edge methodologies that enhance creativity and technical excellence. With their Architecture team relatively small, this is an opportunity for the right individual to make a real impact, both in running projects in a lead function but also in the development of the existing and future team. This should appeal to those perhaps working for a larger studio & feeling somewhat lost in the ranks, or indeed a career-focused Architect seeking a platform to showcase their abilities. Of particular note is the range of work you'll gain access to, with recent projects including landmark commercial developments for blue-chip clients creating a flagship headquarters, an impressive social housing development encompassing both sustainability and conservation, and an award-winning scheme for a public sector body within the commercial category.
Your new role
As a job-running Architect, you will take full ownership of managing projects from concept through to completion. You'll lead design development and technical delivery across multiple projects - reporting to the Architectural Director and utilising an experienced, dynamic team. Acting as the primary client contact at times, you'll ensure visions are realised through practical, high-quality solutions. You'll coordinate and mentoring project teams, collaborating with consultants, contractors and stakeholders. As per the role, you'll produce and oversee detailed drawings, specifications and schedules, ensuring compliance with building regulations and best practice standards. You will also monitor budges, timelines and quality standards, proactively resolving challenges to deliver exceptional outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll be an ARB / RIBA / RIAI registered Architect with a solid level of proven experience in a job-running capacity. With a strong technical knowledge and wide understanding of construction and construction methodologies, you should be comfortable in the expectations that come with managing complex projects independently. Furthermore you should be capable of the effective, clear communication and supervisions skills required in such a role, with proficience in BIM & Revit essential due to the nature of current and future workload.
What you'll get in return
You'll gain a compelling Architect position, with a renowned organisation in an exciting part of the their organisational development, with their Architectural division a pivotal part of this journey. It's rare that a role at this level opens up, especially with the expected influence and growth potential this role has. Along with access to intriguing projects across Northern Ireland, Southern Ireland and broader United Kingdom, you'll join an organisation with an illustrious history and exceptional projected future, with attractive office space in the heart of Belfast City. With a remuneration package to reflect the experience of the individual applicant - I would suggest if you've been quietly scouting for options within the local market, this is one not to browse past - apply now to find out more!
