*** Architect (1-2 Years PQE) - Award Winning Studio - Magherafelt - £Competitive ***

Your new company

HAYS Architecture & Design NI are proud to be working on behalf of an award-winning, family-run architectural practice based in Magherafelt in their search for an Early Careers Architect. With a rich legacy of delivering thoughtful, design-led solutions across sectors including community, sport, residential, and healthcare, the studio is known for its collaborative ethos and creative energy. As a smaller, close-knit team, they offer a uniquely supportive environment where ideas flourish and every voice matters. Whilst this position would be ideal for someone based in the immediate locality, with a long-term, compelling career path on offer, we would suggest it should also appeal to those in an easily commutable radius.

Your new role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Architect with 1–2 years post-Part III experience to join a dynamic studio where creativity and autonomy are truly valued. You’ll work across all RIBA stages, gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects. Supported by a Director, you’ll be encouraged to take ownership of your work, contribute to design development, and engage directly with clients and consultants.

What you'll need to succeed

You’ll bring strong design and presentation skills, excellent communication abilities, and confidence in managing client relationships. Experience with Contract Administration and Site Management using NEC4 or JCT contracts is desirable, along with a solid understanding of construction detailing and the ability to produce high-quality presentation drawings.

What you'll get in return

This is a rare chance to join a well-established yet creatively ambitious studio where your ideas will shape real projects. You’ll benefit from a collaborative culture, direct mentorship, and the opportunity to grow within a practice that values both design excellence and personal development.
