Your new company

A fast‑growing, creative consumer brand is looking to strengthen its finance operations as it continues to expand across the UK and international markets. Known for producing products that bring people together and enhance shared experiences, this organisation is now investing in developing a high‑performing Finance function to support its rapid growth. As part of this evolution, they are seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Receivable (AR) Assistant to join their London team and help ensure smooth, accurate and efficient cashflow management.

Your new role

As the Accounts Receivable Assistant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining healthy financial operations by ensuring timely invoicing, accurate payment allocation and strong customer relationships. Working closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Customer Service and Finance, you’ll help maintain clean ledgers, resolve payment queries and contribute to continuous improvements across the AR process.

  • Preparing and issuing customer invoices accurately and on time
  • Allocating incoming payments and maintaining up‑to‑date customer accounts
  • Following up on outstanding balances and managing debtor queries
  • Supporting month‑end activities, including reconciliations and reporting
  • Assisting with credit checks and maintaining customer records
  • Contributing to process improvements within the AR function

What you'll need to succeed

  • A strong interest in finance and accounts receivable
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and AR processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and strong organisational ability
  • Confident communication skills when dealing with internal teams and customers
  • A degree in Accountancy & Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a related discipline
