Your new role
In this permanent AR & AP Lead job, you will work in a hands-on capacity, whilst also overseeing a team of two. Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Oversee the daily flow of incoming payments and billing activities, ensuring timely and accurate issuance of invoices and adjustments in line with internal standards and commercial agreements.
- Monitor outstanding balances, coordinating follow-ups with external contacts in a professional and approachable manner.
- Provide regular updates to commercial and regional leads on overdue amounts and potential write-offs, helping maintain financial health within agreed thresholds.
- Maintain accurate client records across internal platforms, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Document and refine internal procedures related to incoming payments, supporting operational clarity and compliance.
- Act as the primary contact for resolving complex queries related to incoming funds, client billing, outgoing payments and supplier interactions.
- Manage the day-to-day processing of supplier bills and staff reimbursements, ensuring alignment with internal timelines and policy frameworks.
- Coordinate weekly outgoing payments across multiple regions and currencies, maintaining precision and control.
- Perform daily checks on bank activity to ensure all outgoing transactions are accounted for and reconciled.
- Maintain up-to-date supplier profiles in internal systems, ensuring all details are verified and current.
- Support the renewal of documentation required for specific tax-related claims, particularly those involving external payments.
- Monitor internal service benchmarks and transaction metrics, identifying areas for improvement and flagging potential risks.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience using NetSuite and Salesforce is beneficial, though not mandatory.
- Proven track record in managing end-to-end Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.
- Experience handling transactions across different currencies (essential)
- Worked within finance teams supporting multiple business entities or subsidiaries (essential)
- Experience in a team lead or supervisory role, either in an official or non-official capacity
- A hands-on approach where you are comfortable managing your own sales ledger and customer portfolio alongside oversight of the team
- A short notice period preferred however up to 1 month will be considered.
