Anti Social Behaviour Officer (Social Housing) 3 month temp
We’re seeking a confident and experienced professional with a strong background in managing anti-social behaviour and tenancy enforcement. This is a 3-month temporary contract, working 37 hours per week.
You’ll bring a solid understanding of housing legislation, legal remedies, and effective case management practices to a role that’s critical in protecting communities and upholding tenancy standards.
Your new role
- Lead on serious and persistent ASB and tenancy breach cases, particularly those requiring legal enforcement
- Support Neighbourhood Officers with case advice, evidence gathering, and escalation procedures
- Prepare and serve legal documents including Notices, and draft witness statements for court proceedings
- Attend and give evidence in court, ensuring witnesses are fully supported throughout the legal process
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners to deliver consistent tenancy compliance and community safety
- Identify and secure additional sources of evidence to strengthen case outcomes
- Make referrals to support agencies and mediation services where appropriate
- Represent the organisation at multi-agency meetings and contribute to partnership working
- Engage with local communities to promote understanding of the organisation’s approach to ASB and tenancy enforcement
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in managing anti-social behaviour and tenancy enforcement cases, within a housing or community safety setting
- Strong working knowledge of relevant housing legislation, legal remedies, and enforcement procedures
- Confidence in preparing legal documentation, serving notices, and presenting evidence in court
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support vulnerable individuals and liaise effectively with partners
- Ability to assess complex situations, gather and evaluate evidence, and make sound decisions under pressure
