Anti Social Behaviour Officer (Social Housing) - TEMP TO PERM OPPORTUNITY!

We've got an exciting opportunity to recruit an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer on behalf of a well-established housing association. You'll be joining their Merseyside team, working on a hybrid basis on a temp to perm contract, paying a competitive salary of up to £38k per annum DOE.

We're looking for someone who's confident, proactive and passionate about making communities safer. The successful candidate will have a strong background in ASB case management - from initial complaints through to resolution and court representation - including work around hate crime, domestic violence and safeguarding.

Your new role

  • Investigating reports of hate crimes, domestic violence and other issues impacting the community, working in partnership with colleagues and stakeholders to provide an effective resolution to ASB

  • Using a range of legal remedies and early interventions to provide the most effective resolutions for customers and minimise legal enforcement actions

  • Instigating all court actions, preparing pre-court paperwork including affidavits, full injunctions and possession proceedings, self-representing at court in all cases unless legal representation is required

  • Representing the group at liaison and joint action group meetings

  • Visiting victims, perpetrators and witnesses to ensure evidence is collected and witness statements are taken

  • Responding to complaints and queries from local MPs relating to tenancy enforcement issues

What you'll need to succeed

  • Good level of experience working within an ASB/Tenancy Enforcement role, with a good knowledge of housing legislation including ASB, crime and disorder, compliance and sector best practice

  • Experience of taking witness statements and in legal processes where representation is required including hearings and pleadings

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving skills and ability to manage and prioritise own workload

  • Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
