Anti-Social Behaviour and Legal Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for an ASB and Legal Officer to join the team of a well-established housing association. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary up £37700.

This is a full-time, desk-based role, with the option of hybrid working (minimum 3 days in office) based in Oldham.

ASB experience is an essential requirement for this position.


Your new role

  • Manage and investigate a caseload of Anti-Social Behaviour, legal and tenancy fraud cases across a national geographical area.
  • Deliver early intervention remedies and escalate to legal action where required.
  • Determine tenancy breaches and take appropriate enforcement action.
  • Prepare and present legal cases, including drafting witness statements and court applications for possession, injunctions and access orders.
  • Work closely with residents, perpetrators of ASB and field-based Safer Neighbourhoods Officers to resolve issues effectively.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Background in housing with strong knowledge of ASB legislation.
  • Experience in handling ASB injunctions and possession proceedings.
  • Ability to confidently manage complex cases with minimal supervision.
  • ASB experience is an essential requirement.
