Air Hygiene Supervisor covering Kent and the South East of England

ROLE: Air Hygiene Supervisor
HOURS:40 Hours (mix of days and nights)
LOCATION: Kent (travel required around region)
SALARY: £28,000 - £30,000 plus benefits such as overtime and a Company Van

Your new role
We're looking for an Air Hygiene Supervisor who will work on supporting and guiding operatives while also carrying out air hygiene tasks across various sites.

Role Responsibilities
  • Supervise operatives, ensuring safe working practices in line with RAMS, and maintain professional communication with clients at all times.
  • Carry out kitchen extract system cleaning in accordance with TR19 Grease.
  • Carry out ventilation system cleaning in accordance with TR19.
  • Install access doors into ventilation systems in accordance with DW144.
  • Inspect fire dampers in accordance with BS9999.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the physical plant as instructed.
  • Follow a preventative maintenance programme.
  • Make recommendations for major repairs to the physical plant and recommend equipment purchases where appropriate.
  • Maintain personal equipment and chemical stock inventories.
  • Submit some service reports.
  • Complete and submit a rework risk assessment before every job.
  • Carry out all work as scheduled and follow method statements at all times.
  • Ensure safe working practices in line with RAMS and maintain updated records.
  • Comply with site rules and communicate professionally with on-site contacts, explaining methods and outcomes prior to leaving the site.

  • Literacy skills, including the ability to read technical manuals.
  • Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Strong time‑management skills.
  • Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Management policies.
  • Compliance with Environmental Management System policies.
Proficient knowledge required in:
  • Ventilation systems management in accordance with TR19.
  • Ventilation cleaning techniques in accordance with TR19.
  • Fire damper testing and reporting in accordance with BS9999.
  • Access door installation in accordance with DW144.
Personal Attributes

  • Excellent timekeeping.
  • Demonstrates sound work ethics.
  • Respectful, with strong cultural awareness.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Compliant with DBS and security checks as required.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a regional team.
