Employment Type: Full-time, hourly paid
Salary: Hourly rate dependent on experience
Hours: Paid up to 50 hours per week + overtime (time and a half) on all hours above 50
Travel: Paid travel hours

Our client is a full‑service mechanical engineering company. As a family‑owned business, the company has grown to include three specialist divisions.
They deliver high‑quality mechanical engineering and HVAC installations across commercial offices, schools, hospitals, hotels, and more, along with comprehensive after‑sales maintenance services. Following significant investment in new premises, the company is entering an exciting phase of expansion and long‑term growth.
The Role
They are seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to join their ever-growing team. You will work on a range of commercial and industrial air‑conditioning systems across Ireland.
Initially, you will work within a team led by a van lead. As the company expands, the successful candidate is expected to progress into a van lead role within approximately 12 months, at which point a company vehicle will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain commercial and industrial air‑conditioning systems
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure system longevity
- Work with split systems, VRV/VRF, and packaged units
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and F‑Gas legislation
- Deliver excellent customer service and professional advice to clients
- Complete job reports and paperwork accurately and on time
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in air‑conditioning installation and/or servicing
- F‑Gas Category 1 Certification (essential)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (preferred)
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
Pay & Hours
- Hourly rate based on experience
- Paid for up to 50 hours per week
- Overtime at time‑and‑a‑half for all hours worked above 50
- Travel hours paid
