Financial services firm seeking experienced Agile Delivery Lead to drive product-led transformation.

Your new company

Hays has partnered exclusively with a leading financial services institution to appoint an Agile Delivery Lead to a critical role in their real-time/market data business unit. Currently undergoing an organisational transformation towards product-led delivery, if you're an experienced Agile practitioner with demonstrated success in bringing product teams along on Agile journeys (as well as a strong awareness of market data or low-latency systems within financial services), then we want to hear from you.

Length: Initial contract until EOY + likely extension
Location: London
Hybrid: Yes (3 days in office)
Rate: £750 - £800/day via Umbrella

Your new role and what you'll need to succeed

As the Agile Delivery Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring predictable day-to-day delivery across several Product Delivery Managers and their subsequent squads. These teams are excellent in their fields of expertise, but may not be the strongest Agile practitioners: so, part of your duties will be to utilise your strong emotional intelligence and communication skills to mentor and bring these teams along on the organisation's Agile journey. Your key responsibilities/experience will include:

  • Drive day‑to‑day delivery flow across multiple squads, proactively removing blockers, maintaining momentum, and ensuring teams meet their commitments.

  • Partner with Product Delivery Managers to keep backlogs healthy, define clear sprint goals, and enable accurate sequencing, forecasting, and prioritisation.

  • Ensure squads consistently meet engineering and operational standards – including DoR/DoD, quality gates, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices - while promoting strong tooling discipline and high‑quality ticket hygiene.

  • Lead and support agile ceremonies such as planning, stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives, putting in place resilient processes that prevent key‑person dependencies.

  • Manage cross‑team dependencies, risks, and issues with structure and visibility, escalating only when necessary and driving them through to closure.

  • Champion transparency, continuous improvement, and collaborative ways of working, using delivery metrics, coaching, and cross‑team alignment to strengthen flow and product‑led culture.

  • Previous experience or a demonstrably strong awareness of market data platforms/low latency trading systems will be highly prioritised in our recruitment for this role.
