Afterschool Assistant - Sheffield - Part time

Afterschool Club Assistant – Flexible, Rewarding Role

Location: Dinnington
Hours: Monday to Friday, 3pm – 6pm
Contract: Part-time, Term-time only

Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing outside the classroom? We’re looking for a friendly, flexible Afterschool Club Assistant to join a welcoming primary school team in Dinnington.
This role is perfect for someone with a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience who enjoys creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children at the end of the school day.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Supervising and engaging children in a range of afterschool activities
  • Supporting children’s social and emotional development
  • Helping to set up and tidy away resources
  • Working as part of a supportive team to ensure every child feels included and valued
  • Adapting to the needs of the club and being flexible with daily routines

What we’re looking for:
  • Experience working with primary-aged children (ideally with a TA qualification or similar)
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
