Aftermarket Engineer - Design orientated role

Your new role
As an aftermarket engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that works on improving or modifying existing products or services, especially for in-service issues. Your responsibilities will include discussing and resolving complex problems with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers and customers. You will also be expected to conduct Design Reviews to establish the root cause of issues and agree on a solution. Designing bespoke aftermarket parts, using design software, to solve in-service issues. You will also liaise with Production, Manufacturing, Quality, Configuration, Design, Certification and Customer Support on a daily basis, creating Engineering Change Requests. You will also be tasked with creating Service Information Letters to provide advisory information or maintenance clarification for current in-service programs.
What you'll need to succeed
To be an aftermarket engineer, you need a high level of technical and scientific knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to practical problems, an understanding of configuration control, a minimum of 1–2 years’ experience within a Manufacturing or Engineering discipline, working knowledge of 3D CAD software, previous experience of the aerospace industry and a degree or relevant experience in an Engineering discipline
