An established and forward-thinking local authority in the Orpington and Crays area is seeking an experienced and committed Adult Social Worker to join their locality team. This organisation is recognised for its progressive approach to adult social care and its supportive, collaborative working culture.


Your new role

As a Social Worker within the Adult Services team, you will work across a broad range of adult social care needs. Your responsibilities will include managing complex caseloads, undertaking safeguarding enquiries, and developing person-centred support plans. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, based in a modern office with the flexibility of hybrid working.

You’ll be joining a service undergoing significant transformation, with strong leadership, clear support structures, and a comprehensive two-week induction to help you settle in and succeed.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you must:
  • Be registered with Social Work England
  • Have recent experience in adult social care, including case management and safeguarding
  • Demonstrate strong assessment and support planning skills
  • Be confident in risk assessment and decision-making
  • Possess excellent communication and partnership-building skills
  • Be proficient in using IT systems for accurate and timely record-keeping
  • Show a creative, person-centred approach to care planning
  • Be able to work effectively with health services, voluntary organisations, and commissioned providers
  • A satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will also be required.
