Administrative Officer 8.45 am – 5.00 pm (4.30 pm on a Friday), 45 weeks per year

We are working with a client looking for an Administrative Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a nurturing and dynamic team in supporting the administration for a small independent school.
About Us:

At this school, situated in the East Grinstead area, they provide specialised teaching for Primary, Secondary, and Sixth Form pupils aged 4-19.

Your Role:

As a key member of our team, you will:

  • Manage Administrative Duties:
    Handle telephone cover, message services, mail processing, and school supply purchases.
  • Maintain Attendance Registers:
    Ensure daily completion and accuracy, reporting to stakeholders like the Headteacher, SLT, Governors, and DfE.
  • Update Pupil Records:
    Keep records current and communicate changes to relevant staff.
  • Support Recruitment and Premises Management:
    Assist the School Business Manager with recruitment and day-to-day management.
  • Handle Documentation:
    Assist with filing, document retention, correspondence, and adherence to the School’s Data Protection Policy.
  • Ensure Health & Safety:
    Support the School Business Manager with Health & Safety requirements throughout the school.
  • Additional Duties:
    Undertake other relevant tasks as needed.
Safeguarding and Welfare:

You will play a crucial role in implementing all school policies, particularly those related to curricular matters, Health & Safety, Child Protection, and Managing Behaviours.
