Actuary / Consultant / Manager / Senior Manager / Insurance / Non-Life / London

Your new company
Join a leading consultancy’s non‑life insurance team and contribute to a growing success story.

They are known for delivering bespoke solutions that recognise the unique needs and portfolios of our clients. This role offers significant opportunities for career progression, cross‑disciplinary learning, and collaboration across international teams.

Their actuarial practice extends far beyond traditional reserving, capital, pricing and modelling. You’ll have the chance to work on wide‑ranging consultancy projects spanning strategy, risk management, advanced analytics, stochastic reserving, economic capital, capital optimisation, and evolving prudential regimes such as Solvency II.

As part of a global, multidisciplinary organisation, we combine deep actuarial expertise with the scale, reach and synergy of broader service lines. Team members benefit from exposure to diverse audit and non‑audit projects and a global client base.

Your new role
In this role, you will lead teams to deliver complex actuarial and insurance projects, providing valuable insights and collaborating with cross‑functional colleagues. You will present findings and recommendations to senior executives and boards, while shaping market‑relevant propositions and contributing to thought leadership that supports business development.

You’ll play a key role in preparing client proposals and building strong internal and external relationships. Alongside project delivery, you’ll foster a positive team culture through coaching, mentoring and effective supervision, and support essential team operations including performance feedback, recruitment, financial management, and learning and development.

What you'll need to succeed
They are looking for candidates who are excited by the opportunity to help them develop and grow a team of high-performing consultants that can apply actuarial approaches through a commercial lens and are excited about helping their clients improve the way they operate.

You’ll thrive on being a numerate, rational thinker with a passion for this field and have a very strong attention to detail. They're looking for a qualified actuary (General Insurance) with significant experience in specialty markets (such as Lloyd’s) or UK retail insurance, gained within an insurer or leading consultancy.

You’ll bring strong technical expertise across at least two areas, such as reserving, audit support, Solvency II or IFRS 17, stochastic risk assessment, process improvement, business planning, or internal model review.

Proven experience managing projects and teams is essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships. You should be comfortable coaching junior colleagues, demonstrating commercial awareness, and engaging confidently in discussions about emerging market trends and their impact on clients.

What you'll get in return
A highly competitive base salary of c. £90k to £160k (depending on experience and level (M or SM)), coupled with an excellent benefits package.

Flexible working options available.

The client can also offer visa sponsorship if needed.
